Start a focus session. Defaults are 25 minutes of focus and a 5-minute short break. After the fourth focus round ends or is skipped, take a 15-minute long break and repeat the cycle. Skipped focus sessions do not count as completed. Progress dots track focus entry separately from completed sessions, stay fully lit during the long break and return to the first dot when the next cycle starts.
Use the settings panel on the right to set durations from 1 to 180 minutes and the long break interval from 1 to 12 focus rounds, then save. On mobile, settings appear below the timer. Saving a changed duration applies it immediately while ready or paused. While running, it preserves the current countdown and applies the new duration to the next session. The Reset icon restores only the current session duration, keeping completed sessions and progress dots.
Focus and break auto-start settings are independent. When disabled, the timer moves to the next session and waits for Start. Selecting a tab or skipping always waits. Natural completion and skips follow the same round sequence. The last focus round leads directly to a long break, followed by focus round one. Selecting a tab does not advance the current round.
Remaining time is calculated from the deadline and current time rather than callback counts. A delayed tab completes the session that ran and starts the next session at that moment. It does not count multiple unstarted sessions as completed during the delay. Alarm sounds are not guaranteed when the browser closes or the device sleeps.
Session sounds reuse the shared timer’s synthesized alarms or registered MP3/WAV files, with volume and once/repeat playback controls inside the Alarm settings section, which starts collapsed. Audio files up to 20MB each stay in the shared IndexedDB without external uploads. Resetting Pomodoro data does not delete shared audio. Settings stay in this browser without syncing to other devices. Running sessions are not restored after a refresh.
